In the year 1994, shortly before his death, two-time Nobel Prize winner Dr. Linus Pauling turned to Dr. Rath with significant words: "Your discoveries are so important, because they relate to millions of people and threaten the big industries. Dr. Rath was born in the year 1955 in the German city of Stuttgart, family gardeners. He studied medicine in Muenster, then in Hamburg. After graduation, he worked as a physician and scientist at the same time at the university hospital Eppendorf in Hamburg and Cardiology Center (Heart Center) in Berlin.

In the year 1989 Dr. Rath accepted an invitation double Nobel laureate - Linus Pauling and came to Pauling Research Institute in Palo Alto, California, to extend the research on diseases of the heart and circulatory system. Both scientists united not only cooperation and friendship, but above all, common goals. Therefore, shortly before his death in 1994 Dr. Linus Pauling was a young fellow asked for the continuation of life messages - not only as a scientist, but also as a man who engage to restore world peace.

Today Dr. Rath Research directs the International Institute - research, the aim of which is to eliminate the modern chronic diseases with effective, focused on the causes of natural methods. Dr. Rath's scientific publications have appeared in prestigious scientific journals, as: Arteriosclerosis (American Heart Association), Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.

The results of Dr. Rath's scientific work are the cornerstones of a new understanding of the causes of disease, because a doctor summaries – scientist is a book: "Why animals do not get heart attacks - only we the people".

Since the early years of his youth Dr. Rath was involved in the movement for global peace and aid to developing countries. He worked on the board of the World Association of Medical Students in the WHO (World Health Organization), where he was actively involved in the initiative of WHO - "Health for All".

In the year 1983, together with a delegation of young doctors from around the world, met with the Prime Minister of Sweden - Olaf Palme in his office, in Stockholm. Olaf Palme was the chairman of the Conference of the North - South, associating politicians and scientists, who have set themselves the goal of reducing the gap between rich and poor industrial countries developing countries, by taking explaining political campaigns and projects.

In the framework of the German peace movement Dr. Rath announced an appeal "Healthcare for peace", which was supported by the signatures of more than 20 000 doctors, nurses and professionals associated with health. Also supported the initiative taken by life sciences researchers for world peace (www.natwiss.de).

As part of an international movement against the war nuclear scientists Dr. Rath recognized chemist and Nobel Prize winner - Dr. Linus Pauling and have jointly signed as one of the first appeal - a protest against nuclear war. Appeal, addressed to the medical schools in the world, included issues of medical terrible consequences of a nuclear explosion, These issues should be taken into account in the course of teaching in medical schools.

Dr. Rath also actively supported the proposals of the United Nations and the Committee on. Education and Science and UNESCO for introduction into the curriculum in schools and colleges of higher education on the preservation of peace in the world.
